Join the "DISCOVER AMERICA" Literature Promotion Program

Reach Greek Vacation and Business Travelers Directly at the Philoxenia Tourism Exhibition
November 18-21, 2010 - Thessaloniki, Greece

The U.S. Commercial Service of the American Embassy in Athens, Greece, invites you to discover the opportunities in the Greek travel and tourism market by participating in the first-ever "DISCOVER AMERICA" Literature Promotion Program at the Philoxenia 2010 International Tourism Exhibition, November 18-21, 2010 in Thessaloniki, Greece.

Philoxenia, an annual international travel and tourism exhibition is Greece's primary event for this sector. Last year's event and the parallel Hotelia Hotel Furnishing Exhibition hosted 800 exhibitors from 18 countries and attracted over 15,000 visitors from Greece and 39 other countries.

On the occasion of Greece's entry into the Visa Waiver Program on April 5, 2010, an increase in outbound travel, including business and incentive travel, from Greece to the United States is anticipated.

How can you participate? YOU DO NOT NEED TO ATTEND THE EVENT - SIMPLY SEND YOUR PROMOTIONAL BROCHURES AND THE COMMERCIAL SERVICE WILL DO THE REST FOR YOU

Participate in the "DISCOVER AMERICA" Literature Promotion Program at Philoxenia 2010 and showcase your destination with brochures, DVDs, and other promotional material to tour operators, travel agencies, airlines, tourism enterprises, journalists and consumers. This is your unique and affordable opportunity to increase your visibility and attract not only Greek visitors, but also travelers from the growing Southeastern European region.

The U.S. Commercial Service staff at the "DISCOVER AMERICA" booth will discuss your specific interests with visitors to the booth and will provide you with trade leads after the event. Before the show, Commercial Service staff will ask you to complete a company profile and then speak with you directly to gain a thorough understanding of your destination, including your unique selling features and your goals for participating in the show. Also, as part of your participation in this event, your organization will be featured on the official USCS website www.buyusa.gov/greece/en.

The participation fee for this event is $300 and the deadline for registration is October 29, 2010.
