|Tourism Industries Publication: 1995 Pleasure Travel Market Study - Japan Travel Trade|
The travel trade report describes the structure, development, size and influence of the travel trade in a particular country, as well as the perceptions of the trade about their customers travel destination, arrangement and activity preferences. The study looks at what destinations will wane and rise for travelers from their country and finally assesses the role of national tourist offices in providing what is necessary to successfully sell the U.S. product. The Tour Products Analysis, previously a stand-alone report for select countries, was combined with the travel trade study in 1994-5 with the Taiwan, Australia and Japan studies. This assesses what tour products are currently available to North America and describes characteristics of those products. This helps tour planners identify areas of unique opportunity or ways to regionalize a product to bring travelers to lesser known destinations.
