International Visitors Spending in the United States: February 2010
First Increase in Monthly U.S. Travel and Tourism-Related Exports Since 2008
The U.S. Department of Commerce recently announced that international visitors spent an estimated $10.4 billion on travel to, and tourism-related activities within, the United States during the month of February. This is nearly $180 million more (2%) than was spent in February 2009—marking the first increase in U.S. travel and tourism-related exports in more than fifteen months.
