  • Consultancies;
  • Financial Firms;
  • Educational Institutions; and

The draft questionnaire mockup, posted on OTTI's website, has been tested in the field. Minor changes, resulting from that test may be forthcoming. Provisions are being made to translate it into the eleven foreign languages. The proposed new questionnaire will be submitted to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for approval. It is scheduled to be implemented in January 2012, is the first revision made to the Survey questionnaire since 1996.

Although the proposed new Survey questionnaire is paper-based, OTTI will continue to seek new methodologies for data collection.

Salient changes to the current Survey questionnaire are reflected in various questions relating to:

  • Trip Purpose;
  • Payment Methods;
  • Booking/Information Sources;
  • Demographics;
  • Assessment of the Visitor's Experience; and
  • Intentions for Further Travel to the United States
