Webinar: International Travel & Tourism Markets
Focus on Italy and Greece

June 14, 2011

The U.S. Department of Commerce, Office of Travel and Tourism Industries (OTTI) and the U.S. Commercial Service Travel & Tourism Team will present the next in their series of informational webinars on June 14th at 10:00am Eastern (7:00am Pacific). This 90-minute webinar will feature snapshot presentations from the U.S. Commercial Service in Italy and Greece, as well as a regional overview of the Southern European market from the Office of Travel & Tourism Industries. Italy is consistently one of the top international tourism markets for the United States with a record number of arrivals in 2010. Greece is a recent addition to the visa-waiver program with a double digit growth in arrivals in 2010. The market updates will include how the European debt crisis is impacting (or not) outbound travel to the U.S.

The June 14th webinar will cover international arrivals from Italy and Greece, U.S. destinations most visited, spending patterns, and trends. The program will highlight critical data from the Office of Travel & Tourism Industries and market intelligence from the U.S. Commercial Service offices on how to take advantage of the Italian market and the new opportunities from Greeceā€™s visa-waiver status.

Participants will get a better understanding of the markets and will hear some expected trends for 2011 and beyond for inbound travel from Southern Europe to the United States. Learn how to use some of the available data to make better decisions. Couple that with the products and services available from the Department of Commerce to make your international marketing efforts more effective in Italy and Greece.

Please join us to learn more about this international inbound region to the United States.
