Two Opportunities to Participate in International Travel Show

The Office of Travel and Tourism Industries forecasts travel from Russia to the United States will experience a 40 percent grown between 2009 and 2015, keeping it solidly in the top 40 producers of international inbound visitors to the United States (https://travel.trade.gov/view/f-2000-99-001/forecast/Forecast-COUNTRIES.pdf). Croatia doesn’t currently rank within the top 40, however, all inbound travel to the United States works collaboratively to help the travel and tourism industry reach President Obama’s National Export Initiative goal of doubling exports to the United States within the next four years.

Moscow International Travel & Tourism Expo (MITT 2011)
MITT 2011 is Russia’s premier travel exhibition. With more than 3000 companies and 185 destinations participating, it is a key meeting place for the travel and tourism industry, and enables participants to increase awareness of their destination, gain a feel for the Russian travel market and gauge demand for their services. MITT 2011 welcomes both trade and consumer visitors, with specific “trade only” days. Last year, nearly 80,000 attendees were on hand, and as the demand for travel services in Russia grows and the spending power of Russian travelers becomes more well-known, the popularity of the event has continued to grow.

At MITT 2011, the U.S. Commercial Service is offering an extremely cost effective program -- $300 for a Catalog Show for companies unable to attend the event. The U.S. Commercial Service will display product literature in their booth at the Visit USA Pavilion and their experienced Russian-speaking staff will respond to inquiries. After the show, they will provide a list of companies that expressed interest in your product/services. In addition, as a Catalog Show participant, your organization will also have access to the Commercial Service’s market brief.

CroTour International Tourism Fair
United States participation at the 2010 CroTour International Tourism Fair, Croatia’s premier travel and tourism show held in Zagreb, was a tremendous success. Exhibiting at CroTour for the second time, the U.S. Commercial Service booth attracted hundreds of regional travel industry and media professionals and thousands of members of the general public interested in U.S. destinations. In addition to providing travel and tourism advice and information about the United States in general, Commercial Service specialists were proud to specifically promote over thirty U.S. destinations and cities.

The U.S. Commercial Service is now recruiting U.S. destinations interested in this 2011 promotional opportunity at CroTour, the largest regional travel and tourism show in South East Europe. The U.S. Commercial Service Croatia is organizing a U.S. Pavilion to highlight U.S. destinations, where they will showcase and distribute promotional literature. This is a unique opportunity to reach travelers throughout the growing South East European market and expand your company's exposure in a cost-effective, highly targeted manner.

By participating in this campaign, you will receive:

  1. No-cost promotion at the U.S. Pavilion at the CroTour International Tourism Fair, the premier travel and tourism show that attracts regional tour suppliers, held March 23-26, 2011;
