The National Travel & Tourism Office (NTTO) offers export assistance services to American travel and tourism industry suppliers, from large destinations to small individual establishments. Working in conjunction with U.S. Commercial Service officers nationwide and around the globe, these services help enhance the competitiveness of the U.S. travel and tourism industry and facilitate increased international travel to the United States.

NTTO provides research reports and analysis, as well as market intelligence to the U.S. travel and tourism industry to help identify international markets where their goods and services would be well received. In addition, trade specialists work with industry representatives to ensure that their organizations are prepared to receive international visitors.

The U.S. Commercial Service has more than 100 export assistance centers in the United States and nearly 150 offices in more than 80 countries across the globe. Their primary mission is to get more U.S. goods and services into the international arena. The Corporation for Travel Promotion (Brand USA) has a multi-language consumer website available whose primary purpose is to provide international travelers with a "one-stop shop" for travel information about the United States. This website,, contains current travel information and regulations from many federal agencies. It covers all 50 states, the five U.S. territories and hundreds of U.S. destinations. This public-private partnership allows thousands of U.S. travel and tourism industry organizations to be exposed to traveling consumers around the globe, providing them with additional export assistance resources.

Tourism Product Development:

Export assistance also incorporates tourism or product development initiatives. These initiatives are "partnerships" with industry, governments and global organizations.
